It is a beautiful day outside. I have many things that I'd rather be doing besides laundry. However, our laundry situation had reached a code red. My laundry system where everybody folds their own laundry has been failing me, because no one was actually doing their laundry, they just let it build up and build up until my laundry room was complete chaos. Everyone's baskets were overflowing into everyone else's. I decided that come heck or high water, I was going to get through all of that laundry once and for all. Then from now on, every Saturday everyone will fold their laundry, all of it before going out and playing. Well, I've been sitting here all day long, literally, and a good portion of last evening folding laundry. I've watched
Forrest Gump (fast forwarding with the TV off through all of the bad parts),
Rudy with all of the extra features
, 2 episodes of
Cash Cab, and one episode of
Myth Busters. I was making some real head way. I finished and put away all of Bruce's, Justice's, and my baskets. I had just finished folding and sorting all of Mark's laundry. I took a break to get my children something to eat. Justice struck. I took a deep breath, I actually didn't yell, I just picked the little devil up and carried him up and shut him up in his room. Right now I'm venting. He may end up staying there until he falls asleep. He hasn't had a nap today, so I think I might be done with him for the day.

OH NO! I know how the curse of Laundry can hit. And I know how much you hate it. If it helps Ama unfolds my laundry just as fast as I fold it too.
wow. you didn't yell. i am beyond impressed. i would have lost it completely. and you don't think you're perfect!
I would have screamed. Multiple times. And then cried and left the house. You're too good.
No, I promise I was PLENTY mad. I had to get him out of the room before I blew up.
And Liz, if you don't stop all of this FOOLISH "Renae is perfect crap" I will have to come out there and show you just how imperfect I am! Just ask anyone who has to live with me. SOOOOOOOO not even close to perfection. Oh my gosh, how could you be so diluded!?!
deluded, sorry!
Good job not yelling!
I would have been screaming my head off at the first sight of it. I was pretty glad my mom was over the time that Vance emptied all of his dresser drawers, and his extra dresser, and took all of the stuff off his book shelf. I was able to just give Vance (about 2 at this time) to my mom so I did not explode.
Being as everyone here but me has been sick for a while like a month I have partially solved the laundry thing for us anyway. wasing the clothes is easy, it only takes a little start up and shut down time. once its washed I then excpect evrybody to fold and put away thier own- but the obvious snag there that you have aready found is it just lies around in the laundry room or whereeber till you cant tell it from the dirty again anyway. So I just sort it- not fold that takes too long for me in to Liz and Erik's pile, my pile and Jonni's pile. I do fold and put away at this point the incidentals like towels etc and put the hanger stuff on hangers-, but that is pretty easy. And I then stuff Jonni's basket into her room and Liz/Erik into Liz's room and let the chips fall where they may. Seems to work ok for us- then if Jonni hasnt put her stuff away yet and is out of clothes she can rummage in her basket if she wishes. Liz too. Not the ideal solution but its relatively quick and painless.
