Thus Passes The Best Dog That EVER Lived

I think the saddest part was as we were leaving the office where we had Chloe put to sleep. Clayton asked "Where Doey? Where Doey?" and refused to leave without her. Did I mention that this was the first time I ever heard Clayton say her name?

She got old, and her joints went out. She was in pain pretty much all the time, living on pain killers that we couldn't afford. Even with the pain killers you could tell she was hurting all of the time. She quit eating, greeting people at the door. She had one leg that she hung in the air all of the time. It was just time.

I'm so sorry! She looks like she was an excellent 'kid' dog!

Sad! So sorry to hear that. Losing your dog is the worst.

Aw, Renae, I'm sorry to hear that. Labs are notorious for joint problems. We'll pray for those babies of yours.

Seriously the best dog ever! I actually got tears in my eyes thinking of how Chloe would always greet us at the door, and try to lick me to death when I would stretch, and wow! just a great dog!

That sucks, I'm sad for you guys. And I'm so glad that my animals are still a few years away from that phase- I can't imagine life without them. I think that dogs should live as long as we want them to.

Renae, I'm so extremely sorry for ya'll. Chloe was a very good, sweet, loving, loyal, funny, all-around great girl! She always made my day by greeting me with her tail a' waggin'. Losing a good friend is heartbreaking. I'll be thinking of ya'll and prayin' for ya as everyone adjusts to her absence.
