OUCH!!! My Poor Baby!

You can somehow always tell the difference in the cry when they are really truly hurt. Either that or something just nudges you and tells you that you need to run to the child. I swear you people out there must just think I'm a terrible mom. My poor Justice was jumping on the trampoline last night, and he fell and bashed his front teeth on the bar. He chipped one tooth, and pushed about 3 or 4 of them back and to the side a bit. I took him to see Brother Lindsey, a dentist in our ward, last night. He said that the teeth will most likely straighten out by themselves. His front teeth might turn dark though. The poor kid can't eat anything but pudding type stuff. I can't get him to take any Tylenol. He just won't let me anywhere near his mouth, no matter how much I tell him that it will help him feel better. He was up half of the night crying. I hate it when my kids are hurt. I just can't look at his poor face without almost crying. We are taking him to the doctor this morning. His poor lip is swollen like you can't believe. He is acting better this morning. He's even smiling and playing a bit. He'll be alright, but I hate it for him!

Bless his little heart! I think he'll grow up to win the X Games someday. He's a tough little knothead. :)

He's doing much better. He was up and playing pretty normal both yesterday and today. He slept okay last night too. The doctor said his teeth would come back okay. (About 3 or 4 of them got pushed back up into his gums). It doesn't look like he broke his jaw or anything. His swelling has gone down quite a bit. He's still very swollen, but not so much freakishly as yesterday. He's on a strictly soft food diet (oatmeal, yogurt, nothing that you need to bite into with your front teeth) for the next several days. No apples or carrots or anything like that for about 2 weeks. Yes, it was pretty bad. He gets awarded 2nd worst injury so far of all my children (2nd to Lydia's broken leg). But, the worst is over and he's acting like a normal kid. He just might have a couple of black teeth in front till the baby teeth fall out. Maybe not though. We'll see.

oh good oh good! i was so worried he'd lose his teeth after all, or something was broken! all that swelling! you should make him smoothies. they're so nutritious, and he'll be needing all he can get, what with the liquid diet and all. gosh, poor little guy! well, one good thing, little people heal super good mostly. see ya tonight!

Awww, poor Justice. Hope he's feeling better soon! The good news is that those are his baby teeth, but it still has to hurt tremendously. I'd be freaking out if it were my baby for sure.
