Our National Anthem, According To Ross

It's amazing to me how a song that the kids hear every single day at school can be learned so horribly wrong. Ross was singing the Star-Spangled Banner (or the Pledge of Allegiance as he called it) on the way to school today. Here's how it went:

Oh say can you see
by the dawn surly line
what so proudly we hail
at the twilight's asking me.
Whose got stripes and bright stars?
through the perilous fight
for the ramparts we watched
were so down and please stream me
And the rocket's pledge where
the bombs bursting in air
gave through be line night
that our flag was still there
Oh say does that star spangled wanner yet pledged
For the land of the free
and the home of the pledged.
